COW JAM 2012!! "Hä? Kuhmarmelade? Von 2012?" Neeee!! Unser Mitbewohner Ryan und seine Band Grandfather Alps + special guests haben ein Open Air veranstaltet bei dem bis in die Morgenstunden gejammt wurde! Das Open Air fand auf der Familienfarm in Edendale, bei Invercargill und bei bestem Wetter statt. Ganz wehmütig erinnerte uns das setting ein bisschen an das Evergrin Festival am Sustenpass... .
Our flat mate Ryan and his band Grandfather Alps invited us to an Open Air jam session held on their family farm in Edendale, close to Invercargill. We had best weather, great music, lots of beer and BBQ and fantastic people!! A big thank you to all of you for this unforgettable weekend!!

Am darauf folgenden Tag konnten wir dann nicht sehr viel mehr machen als Ausschlafen, Baden gehen und durch die Catlins zurück fahren. Die Catlins siehe hier lagen praktisch auf unserem Rückweg und so nutzen wir die Zeit und schauten uns noch ein paar Highlights an die wir beim letzten Mal verpasst hatten. Zb das wunderschön gelegene Waipapa Lighthouse, die grossen Cathedral Caves und die berühmten Niagara Wasserfälle.
At the following day we weren't really able to do a lot besides sleeping in, having breakfast at the river and drive back with some stops at beautiful places in the Catlins as e.g. the romantic Waipapa lighthouse, the big Cathedral caves and the famous Niagara falls.
